HOME SWEET HOME by Elizabeth Salgado

My name is Elizabeth and I attend the University of Houston. I live in the Manchester Community in Houston, TX.
We are a little neighborhood surrounded on all sides by PetroChemical Companies, a Railroad Station, a Waste Water Treatment Plant, and the Houston Ship Channel.
This community is primarily Hispanic and the people living here are of low income. We are exposed to toxic chemical emissions everyday and so far nothing has been done.
We really need support and ideas to help relocate these families or at least have some legislation passed to limit the amount of chemicals that are released into the air.
I am open to any suggestions and feel free to leave your input. This clip highlights the "scenary" in my neighborhood and gives a glimpse into the things that happen in my community.
I hope this allows people to see what horrible conditions we are exposed to and maybe that way we get some change.
